About Corinne

Corinne is BRCA2 positive, inherited via her father, and has a strong family history of breast cancer, impacting both males and females in her direct and extended family.
She has been involved with Inherited Cancer Australia since 2016 after being invited to an Information Day by her older sister Rachelle.
ICA has supported Corinne through her preventative double mastectomies and fertility preservation, providing valuable information and network support to help her through reducing her cancer risks and planning for her future health. ICA has also supported her family - especially Rachelle and she navigated her Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and younger sister has she too managed her cancer risks.
Both Corinne and Natalie look forward to continuing their advocacy for the work ICA do in memory of their sister, who passed away from cancer 3 years ago at only 41 years old and support other families like theirs.

About Beck

Beck discovered she carried the PALB2 gene mutation after her younger sister was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer at age 31. There has been a history of breast cancer in the family and the genetic testing allowed for the family members to be tested and know their risk.
ICA has provided information and support for Beck and her family to navigate their lives as having a high risk of developing breast, ovarian and pancreatic cancer. The information often found in the medical online world is confronting, technical and impersonal. ICA delivers the up to date information into research and data in an empathetic and supportive way, making it easy to understand.
Throughout the last 5 years, ICA has provided so much to Beck and now it's time to give back! Fundraising for ICA allows for more information days, support weekends, genetic counsellors, webinars and much more.
